My Story
I’m Ange, founder of The Confident CEO.
But long before the businesses, the awards, or the titles, I was a woman learning how to trust herself in a world that felt unpredictable.
I grew up in Far North Queensland, moving between small towns and learning early how to adapt. My childhood was shaped by instability, and from a young age I became deeply familiar with fear, self-doubt, and survival mode. By my teens, that showed up as anxiety, disordered eating, and a deep sense of not knowing who I was or where I belonged.
Like many women, I didn’t lack potential.
I lacked self-trust.
My early adult years were defined by resilience the hard way. I worked on cattle stations, navigated serious health challenges, survived a toxic relationship, and rebuilt myself more times than I can count. There were seasons of grief, burnout, and feeling completely disconnected from my own power.
But something shifted when I stopped asking, “Why is this happening to me?”
and started asking, “Where have I been giving my power away?”
I realised that waiting to feel ready, healed, or confident enough was keeping me stuck. So instead, I chose to take responsibility for my inner world, my decisions, and the direction of my life.
That choice to take my power back changed everything.
In 2017, I founded Country Allure while working full-time in mining. What started as a simple idea quickly grew into a nationally recognised brand. Within 12 months of leaving a six-figure career, the business surpassed $1 million in revenue. I went on to receive multiple business awards and industry recognition.
From the outside, it looked like success.
Behind the scenes, it was leadership under pressure, identity recalibration, and learning to make decisions without guarantees. COVID forced contraction, staff reductions, and hard lessons that tested me far more than growth ever did.
Motherhood added another layer.
Becoming a mum didn’t soften my ambition, it refined it. It forced me to confront perfectionism, capacity, and the truth that confidence isn’t loud or flawless. It’s quiet self-trust built in moments no one sees.
That is where The Confident CEO was born.
Not as motivation.
Not as hustle culture.
But as a grounded, honest approach to leadership, identity, and belief.
Everything I teach is built from lived experience. The mindset work. The identity shifts. The nervous system safety. The self-trust required to lead when outcomes are uncertain.
I don’t believe confidence is something you’re born with.
I believe it’s something you build through courageous, imperfect action.
Today, I work with women who are capable, driven, and quietly doubting themselves. Women who are building businesses, careers, and lives that look good on paper but feel heavy behind the scenes.
My work is about helping you stop outsourcing your worth, lead from self-trust, and move forward without waiting to feel “ready.”
You don’t need to become someone else.
You need to take your power back.
And I’m here to walk beside you while you do.
- Ange
